The LVW Tour
For those with little computer experience, building a web site may seem a tall order or conversely their expectation of what can be achieved in a reasonable amount of time can be very unrealistic - the complexity behind a good web site can be impressive when you look under the hood.
LVW tries to address both these types of expectations. One by making it very easily to build simple web sites that have all the basic elements required to get your message across, but also to have a level of sophistication that would take a dedicate programmer 100s of hours to achieve. In fact, we know of no similar types of bespoke veggie web sites that can match LVW richness.
Still, it can be hard to understand what LVW does for you by just looking at an LVW site. Some look very rich and others are little more than empty shells. It may surprise you to find out that these two web sites are really exactly the SAME web site. The only difference between them is the data their owners have put into them. Neither site owner has done any extra coding etc. How can this be?
LVW is two things. One, it is a data entry tool. All site owners configure their sites by entering data into a single database that marks their data for a particular viewed web site. Secondly, LVW is a web site template engine. When someone requests a page from a particular LVW site, that request is directed to the LVW database where that site's data is extracted and then formatted by the LVW template engine and the sent to the user. To the user it appears the page came from a physical and unique website. This shown in this diagram.
Due to big improvements in LVW the tour guides are out of date - for a while.
